Mastertech Shop Connect Terms of Use

1. Introduction
Mastertech Shop Connect ("Program") is a data-sharing initiative provided by Mastertech.ai ("Mastertech," "we," "us," or "our") that allows participating automotive repair shops ("Shops") to share diagnostic data from past repair orders with other participating Shops. By opting into the Program, Shops agree to the following Terms of Use.​

2. Data Collection & Redaction
To protect customer and shop privacy, we will redact all personally identifiable information (PII), including but not limited to:

Customer personal information such as customer name, address, and contact information

Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs)

Shop names
-
Technician and advisor names
-
Invoice amounts

3. Data Shared Through the Program
The following data will be shared with other participating Shops via the Mastertech app when a shop seeks diagnostic assistance:

Summary of the vehicle issue (concern, cause, and correction)

Vehicle year, make, model, and engine (YMME)

Labor and parts details related to the repair

4. Access to Shared Data

Data is only accessible to Shops actively participating in the Program.

Data will never be shared with the DIY community or individuals who are not part of the Program.

Shared data can only be accessed through the Mastertech app when a Shop is actively looking for diagnostic assistance.
5. Opting Out & Data Removal

Shops may opt out of the Program at any time. Upon opting out, their shared data will be removed within 30 days, unless Mastertech receives express written consent from the Shop to retain the diagnostic data for the benefit of the community.

If a Shop's subscription to Mastertech.ai ends, they will be automatically removed from the Program, and their data will be deleted within 30 days, unless the Shop provides express written consent for continued retention.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
Mastertech provides the shared data "as is" and makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding its accuracy, completeness, or reliability. Shops must exercise their professional judgment when using the information.
7. Limitation of Liability
Mastertech shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use or reliance on shared data, errors in data redaction, or the inability to access the Program.
8. Indemnification
Shops agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Mastertech, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

The misuse of shared data

A Shop’s reliance on inaccurate or incomplete information

Any violation of these Terms of Use
9. Modifications to the Terms
Mastertech reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Use at any time. Shops will be notified of any material changes in advance. Continued participation in the Program constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Any disputes arising under or related to this Program shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Delaware, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
